Pyeonsan

A development collaboration with typeface designer Kim Taeryong (XXpress) for his exhibition Pyeonsan (2025). The goal: translate the show’s typographic concept into a web experience as dense as the physical gallery, treating letters as active elements rather than decoration.

타입페이스 디자이너 김태룡(XXpress)의 전시 «편산»(2025)을 위한 개발 협업입니다. 전시의 타이포그래피 개념을 실제 전시장만큼 밀도 높은 웹 경험으로 옮기되, 글자를 장식이 아니라 능동적인 요소로 다루는 것이 목표였습니다.

Glyph behaviours, hover states, and rendering were calibrated against the installed pieces through weekly in-browser refinement. The web component runs as a parallel digital space, keeping Pyeonsan’s typographic ideas accessible and functional after the show closes.

글리프의 움직임, 호버 상태, 렌더링을 매주 브라우저에서 다듬으며 설치된 작품에 맞춰 보정했습니다. 웹 파트는 또 하나의 디지털 공간으로 작동하며, 전시가 끝난 뒤에도 편산의 타이포그래피적 아이디어를 계속 접하고 사용할 수 있게 합니다.

Role — development of the web component in collaboration with the type designer: the typographic behaviour in the browser, the interaction and responsive layout, and the final build delivered for the exhibition. → Watch the film (0:48)

역할 — 타입 디자이너와 협업한 웹 컴포넌트 개발. 브라우저 안 글자의 움직임과 인터랙션, 반응형 레이아웃을 구현하고 전시용 빌드까지 마무리했습니다. → 영상 보기 (0:48)
