Museum Identity
Busan MoCA

Exhibition identity proposal for Busan Museum of Contemporary Art, developed with Chiho Rang Factory as one of four competing teams. The system starts from Eulsukdo, where the paths of people and migratory birds cross without colliding, and carries “the coexistence of two paths” into typography, wall graphics, signage, and display structures.

치호랑팩토리와 함께 4개 경쟁 팀 중 하나로 참여한 부산현대미술관 전시 아이덴티티 제안입니다. 사람과 철새의 길이 부딪히지 않고 교차하는 을숙도에서 출발해, “두 경로의 공존”을 타이포그래피, 월 그래픽, 사이니지, 전시 구조물로 옮겼습니다.

A web-based virtual exhibition extends the identity online: in place of real merchandise, a browser store presents 3D virtual goods tagged with environmental-impact data, exposing the footprint behind each item and questioning the museum’s role as a channel of consumption. → withok.kr/web/bmca-virtual-exhibition

Underneath the system is a movement study: human and migratory-bird motion observed, then translated into a formal language for the museum — one motif extended into the logo, graphic motifs, pictograms, and printed matter, and set down in a museum identity guideline book.

그 바탕에는 움직임 연구가 있습니다. 사람과 철새의 움직임을 관찰해 미술관을 위한 조형 언어로 옮기고, 하나의 모티프를 로고, 그래픽 모티프, 픽토그램, 인쇄물로 확장해 뮤지엄 아이덴티티 가이드라인으로 정리했습니다.
